In the great tradition of Japanese public baths, Kabuki's communal bath is designed to encourage harmony and relaxation. Facilities include a hot pool, cold plunge, dry sauna, and steam room. Individual bathing areas include traditional Japanese-seated bathing areas and standing western-style showers. You are welcome to enjoy the complimentary bath products, sea salts, chilled cucumber face cloths, and teas. The communal baths include a full-time bathing attendant.

If you are new to the Japanese communal baths we recommend the following steps to enhance your bathing experience. It is traditional to wash and rinse thoroughly before entering the pools. First begin with the dry sauna or steam room. The dry sauna is approximately 170 degrees and should be used in two sessions of ten to fifteen minutes each. The steam room is approximately 120 degrees. The moist air will agree with some body types more than others.

Follow the sauna or steam room with the cold pool or a cool shower to stimulate the circulatory system. The cold pool is kept at an invigorating 55 degrees.

A resting period is recommended before entering the final hot pool. This large pool is 104 degrees and is the last stage in this relaxing and blissful bathing ritual.

The communal baths is a peaceful, quiet time for people to reconnect with their spirits. Please help maintain the contemplative atmosphere of the bathing area with respect and quiet.

Men: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Coed: Tuesdays (clothing required)

Monday to Friday, all day: $22.00
Saturday to Sunday, all day: $25.00
Use of the communal baths with a treatment: $15.00

A valid photo I.D. is required to use the baths. Children over 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, but children under 10 are not allowed in the baths.
